Ashley Francese

For those of you in the group who donʼt know me, Iʼm Ashley- one of the Standardbred Ashleys. I was a serious classical dressage rider for years before I discovered how much I love riding in jeans and thus switched to western dressage a few years ago.

I am passionate about retraining racehorses, and I professionally retrain Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds off the track.

At IEO events, you can usually catch me riding one of my Thoroughbreds: Harper Valley or Change of Fortune, or my Standardbred: Nardi Jim Jim. This year, Iʼve also been showing my husbandʼs horse, Mister Bling A, to showcase gaited horses in western dressage. Not all Standardbreds gait, but I think itʼs cool to show that they can.
